To trim or not to trim?

Long time lurker, but need to ask. Two and a half weeks into 12/12, is it too late to trim the bottom 1/3 of the plant. Twelve female plants in a 5x5 tent doing an ebb grow. Thinking of trimming just the new small growth. I know, next time 4 plants in that space. This is my second grow, all female. First grow I chopped 6 boys.

Simple answer, no.

The consensus is trim so tomorrow morning I trim lightly, nothing bigger than a 1/4 of an inch
