Ok so i was eating my flavor rich generic brand oatmeal yesterday when i suddenly decided to build my long awaited closet grow. With the help and encouragement of a friend he graciously supplied me with his not so old 1K Watt Hps & Ballast. He's also gonna be a good chum and hand me down some clones from a strain i had smoked not long ago & if had to guess was a sativa or hybrid, very uplifting horny high and very energetic.
So this is what i have to work with;
I will be converting my walk in closet Located within the master bedroom and partitioned into my bathroom closet dimensions are 5W x 6'10''L x 8H
Closet has no ventilation and i do rent but fuk it i can cut a hole in the ceiling and will direct it to an exterior house vent on the roof about 8 ft away. there are shelves inside closet but can easily be removed and put back leaving me with a big box.There is carpet but i will be putting down some pool liner and sealing of real good.
My question to you pros is ...To V! or not to V!? can i safely hang a 1k in this space and grow mmmmm say 5 plants in a vertical semi octagon style V scrog? Should i do stadium instead? or Scrog horizontally? .. i want the highest possible yields.
after reading SO MUCH ive decided to go on the safe side & use cool tubes, although i saw one guys set up what looked like two fans top/bottom set up as to invoke an artificial vortex threw the vents and streight out into the roof? i will be growing in soil and eventually plan on converting to a DWC system for higher output but first baby steps.
