Too early for 2010'?

Well this year turned out to be a total bust. I had some bagseed I put out in some cups just to see what happened and animals got into them and I didn't get a thing. I didn't put too much effort into them, all my fault, but I have to keep on keepin on. This coming season I am bound and determined to make something happen. I have a friend who is planning on having a little closet grow which I'll be able to take some nice lady clones from when the time is right. Its obviously too late for this season but it can't hurt getting a head start on next season though, right? The plan is to scout out some excellent spots and do some work when the weather is still agreeable. I figure I can ammend the soil to give the animals enough time to check it out and lose interest as well as be in pristine condition when the time comes to plant the clones. Just because I got nothing this season doesn't mean I have to sit on my hands until next spring, right? Thoughts and comments are appreciated as always.

I own my own property, but never grow in the same place year after year. It is best to scout out a place long before putting your grow in. I prepare all my holes with homemade compost in the fall and then let it frement all winter and just till it all together come spring and I'm all set, (minus animal deterants), which take little effort to do. with this said, you're on the right track as far as preparation. good luck to you and all next year.
