too many plants in one pot/ the aftermath?

So this was my first grow and i made the mistake of putting 5 plants in one pot and its far too late to separate them my question is when i have to pull the males(bagseed) if i cut them at the base will this cause the roots to rot and make my females suffer/die??

5 plants in a pot after flowers appear will they die if i kill the males???

i dont think they will die but there "could possibly" be complications. it could go either way boss but most likely the females will live in you cut down the males but the plants are going to be huge when your flowering and all 5 big plants in 1 pot is a test
