Is it too risky to grow 18 plants in the same area? (15 are autos). I for sure dont want to get caught by a helicopter after all this preparation.

yes to risky start small . so it doesn't look suspicious

do it in a basement or a lower floor of your home if your paranoid about a helicopter seeing your lights

Sounds funny- but try this...
do in groups of 3 or 4-- then plant flowering plants that get just as tall or taller amoung them so the flowers will be visible....

I agree with Buck and Balzac break them up. Harder to notice the plants when its not a lot in one spot
