Too thin?

My plants have been growing for a little over a month and I think I am about to start the flowering stage because it is my first time growing and honestly I'm a bit antsy. I've been looking at a few of the pictures on here and it looks like most of the other plants are fairly bushy after only a few weeks. Mine almost seem bare compared to some of these other monsters. I don't know if growing my plant in soil makes it different in size than one grown using hydroponics, but I was just wanting to make sure it is growing properly. Also what do you guys think about me starting the flowering stage, space is limited so I don't really wanting it to grow too big... Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

you are going to need more light for sure during flowering. you can use soft white cfls try and use 3 42 watters per plant

You need to put something underneath the smaller plant so that the tops of the two plants are always as even as possible.

You would definately be better off with much more light. And you will need much more light to begin flowering. Get yourself a couple more floro tubes and get a couple of high watt CFL's (2 125w or 4 42w)to add some more lumens to your grow and you should be set in light for now. Also you'll want to raise the smaller plant up to the light so it keeps it from stretching.
