Top dressing after nute burn?

How do you know when it’s safe to top dress with bloom fert (flowergirl 3-9-4) after burning it and having nitrogen excess?
3 gal pot with ffof amended with perlite
top dressed with ewc and 2 TSP Stonington blend 5-2-4 on day 22 (August 19)
Watered with straight water pH to 6.5 since then until the most recent watering which had 2 oz liquid kelp per gal.

it’s my first grow so I’m trying to not overthink or over-do it but I still don’t know what to look for to tell. looks like beginning Potassium def in pic #3?

If you're keeping it organic your microbes and shit should keep it pretty well balanced for ya. I don't pH my water and it's like 7.8 out of my well.

I only do it to at least ( match or range close ) to the medium i use … allowing buffers to control with less drift. Not saying my way only just what seems more suited for maintaining the ph

I grow a few in 3 gallon pot every year. I top dress dry nutes and EWC. Your plants seem to be about 3-4 week of flower. I see the nute burn ya mentioned, But it really just seems to be on the older Fan leaves. Which should be pulled off at about 65% yellowing. Its normal. I top dress roots organics uprising dry line. At half too one tablespoon of the dry bloom & dry foundation. But be careful, because I have literally burned my sugar leaves in a 3 gall. late on a summer light deprivation plant though. So yes its possible to burn plants with dry organic nutes in a hot, low humidity environment. I hope my rambling helps a lil! :eyesmoke:

Depends on the amendments. Some are hotter than others. Some actually get hot when they're breaking down. Like over 100 degrees. So when they say root burn, that's exactly what they mean. It literally burns the roots, lol.

I use a rather Hot organic soil to begin with. So I try to stay on the light side when I feed via Dry nutes. I just try and watch the response a few days after each feeding, to gauge how well they accept a specific dose. This is my soil I use. They list what ingredients are in it. Just not the ratios.

Well to answer your question. No the original "grateful dirt" is still the same. Since its name kinda changed. Due to family issues with the original owner. He legally had to change the name of it. But I believe is still the same recipe that helps Me produce shit like this!20210902_110626.jpg20210831_180707.jpg20210831_180545.jpg20210831_094738.jpg20210829_171329.jpg
At least that's what I heard at the local grow shop.

So without knowing how hot flowergirl would / could get I added it at 1/2 strength. Figured I could add more later

Many times with cannabis. Less is More... just watch how she reacts, then adjust feed slightly afterward. You can always give a lil more later. But you can't remove a harmful overdose very easily or quickly enough. JM2C :peace:bongsmilie

How do I know if / when to add more fert? She seems to still be packing on weight, but I’m seeing some yellowing tips at the top of the plant

I wouldn't give her another feeding personally. The tips of her fan leaves are fried. There is still uptakable nutes left to finish that plant. Via water only until chop time. Which seems to be another 4 weeks+. That's just my 2 Cents though :peace:
