Top of plant got burnt from the light.... What is going to happen to it?

So my plant grew like 6 inches overnight, and it was touching the light by the time I woke up and checked on it.
The new growth at the top is completely yellow, burnt, and crispy. And some of the leaves around it has curled up.
What is going to happen to my plant? Will it stay at the same height? Or will it split into 2 main shoots as if I topped it?

The white spots are drops of water, because I tried to hydrate it when I found it burning...

I didn't think it would shoot up 6, or 7 inches overnight

Never had one do 6 in a night.

What is going to happen to the top of my plant tho?!?!
Does anyone know?
Should I try to pluck off the dead leaves or what?

So I topped cut away the burnt leaves at the top, and 2 days later it seems to be recovering.
The 2 little side branches seems to be taking over the main growth that the main top was doing.

Almost the end of week 5

It doesn't appear to be growing any taller anymore... I think I might have burned and cut off the main growth stem...
But the plant also appears to be flowering...
So I don't know if it is done with vegetative, or if I just burned, and cut off it's main growth stem....

If you cut of its "main growth stem,"...that is essentially what topping is

Your plant is not dead unless it has some fungal virus or something.
These plants can take a lot. It most likely is just really stressed atm which would slow down growth a lot

Original post didnt say it was an auto. Definitely would not recommend topping an auto. The first issue then was starting with the auto. That's like wanting to learn how to grow medical cannabis by first learning how to lay cement . Maybe that's exaggerating, but you get what I'm saying

you can top an auto its just that all violent plant manipulations impose a small delay through shock and once the veg time is over, thats it...
plants can easily recover from damage if the roots are intact & healthy. many plants get eaten by predators, they just ignore that and keep growing. unlike fauna plants are tough shit
