you should look up info on it...but usually most say top after the third or forth node and by top I mean cut the top off

I don't mean to hijack your thread, butI've been considering topping mine (pics from today in the last page of the link in my sig), and I wanted to get an opinion on it too.

I'm up to my 6th node right now, and here's how they grew:

Node.....Fingers per leaf
..1................1.........
..2................3.........
..3................5.........
..4................6.........
..5................7.........

I've been waiting for it to get up to 7 fingers per leaf before I topped it, but I wanted to get a few opinions first.

Topping a Plant

1. Locate the very top of your plant and cut through the main stem just below the newest growth. This should be done after the 3rd or 4th leaf set but can be done at any time after the 3rd leaf set.

2. Shows Plant Top cut off and where the 2 new Branches that will form a "Y" in the main stem will grow from.

3. Shows the newly topped plant after 2 days of growth, notice the Y in the Stem Forming.

top them once they get big enough side shoots to take over growth... the things numbered "3"

if you plant looks too small to top it then dont it can stunt growth significantly

topping DEF helps with bushier shorter plants... heres the plant i topped and like 3 weeks of growth after the topping
