Topping autos with excellent results

this northern lights auto is 15 days old. it was topped 7 days ago and is beginning to branch out nicely. now a little under 8" tall. i've had really nice yields from topping like this, plus a little more stealth from a shorter but bushier plant.

pic one is 7 days after topping and 15 days old
second pic is when the plant was topped at 8 days old

Seems it recovered well.
I see you topped above the 2nd node.
I did as well. But the two lower branches became mains on yours.
Is that a Autoflower thing ?
On mine all four mains came from the second node.
Interesting.

Yes that happens often when you top at the 2nd to 4th nodes. The first branches act as tops then the new two tops grow out
Cool

i top only the ones that take a while to finish. the ones that take about eighty days between germination and harvest are what i use.

also, u have to top them early. i've never topped one that was over 10 days old, usually 7.

If you have a quicker strain just Lst them. Tie down the main cola and the plant will produces branches which all act as tops. You can continually do it because produces a chemical called "auxins' that OS what develops the tops.
When the plant is pulled sideways auxin gets sent to other areas of the plant

Sounds like you used the fim technique, not topping.

You ever tried topping a top? so it turns the two tops into four? I honestly haven't seen it before. I've seen fimming where it splits off into multiple tops but i haven't seen someone top a top.
