Topping or removing fan leaves ?!

So I read on a grow guide that removing fan leaves and allowing light to penetrate all areas would help increase yield or more colas ? If so could someone explain which is better and how to do it ? My plants are so bushy and too many leaves

Bump ! Please I need to know ASAP , their is a Ton of leaves bushy too much I would like to do it if it does the trick and add to harvest

Leaves supply energy. If you want light to get further into the canopy tie string to your plants branches and tie the horizontally as possible to the side of the container. This opens it up for light and also encourages more tops in the long run. Its more effective than topping and less stress.

Leave the leaf on there.

Okay so how would I go about doing that , their already two three feet and bushy and fat
I'm only asking since on groweeedesy says so and it will increase yield
