Topping question

This is my second grow. My "guy" found one seed out of a half pound of krip and gave it to me. it is now a foot tall and I found the first 3 pistols on her yesterday so she's definately a girl. she went to 12/12 on Dec.22. what I want to know is can I increase my yield by topping her or should i just leave it alone since she has already started her flowering cycle? all intelligent feedback is appreciated.

Since she's already flowering, I would just leave her be. Usually you want to do any topping at least a week before flowering, to give her time to heal. Or, if you're up for multiple colas, top when she's much younger - around four to six nodes high. Check out Uncle ben's topping thread, stickied in the Advanced section. Good stuff!

depends on whether you have the space to let her do her thang

Topping increases yields in small grow rooms where the hieght of the plant matters.

If you don't have these restrictions you will get much higher yields by letting her go. But keep in mind that doing so will require a lot more light.

room to grow isnt a problem cause she is all by herself. light shouldnt be a problem cause she's under 300 watts of hps and some supplemental cfl's. I thought that i had read somewhere that u shouldnt top after flowering began but i wasnt sure.
