Totes with lid seals!

I was at Lowes and found some 15 gal Ziplock totes that have builtin lid seals and six lid clamps built in! The only problem is they are clear plastic. Is there a paint for plastics that won't flake off? I painted the inside of my cloner tub hood, a Ruff Neck tub, and the paint flakes off easily.

I use some plastic totes for growing .. other things. I spraypaint them and it tends to stay on really well if you lightly buff them with sandpaper first (and then thoroughly rinse them to get the plastic dust off). Nice find!

They had a smaller tub that would fit nicely on the topofthe15 gal tub and hold the plants well. I may go get one of each and try the buffing thing. Leaving a unpainted strip on the rez tub so I can see the depth of the nutes without having to lift the lid. the only problem is they are very expensive like $18 each.

Use PlastiDip spray paint, or Rust-Oleum 2X primer. They both work really well on plastic, and work well at blocking light. Regular spray paint will start flaking off after a little while. It doesn't flex, like the two mentioned, so every time you fill, empty, and lose water to plant uptake, the container is flexing. Paint flakes make a mess, I'm tellin' ya :)
