transition from rockwool to dirt

First grow, be gentle.
I recently picked up 3 clones in small rockwool cubes. i have 5 gal fabric pots with FFHF / FFOF mix that i plan on moving them into for veg / flower
I am also in the process of germing a couple of solfire seeds that i picked up as well.
my question is what is the best way to transition the clones from the rockwool into the dirt pots.
wait for roots to poke thru the bottom and bury rockwool in dirt?

is it Best practice to pop the seed, then add it to rockwool until it gets its feet under it and then pop the rockwool into dirt as well or pop the seed in dirt as soon as it pops.

Again, first time grow and self proclaimed novice.
happy to supply more info if needed.

thanks for yalls time.

I would just plant the rw cube into compost/dirt, cover it a little to prevent algae.
The seed I'd put straight into a pot of compost if I was growing in compost/soil.
