Transitioning from Cobs to QB's -- heat difference

I hung out in this section a lot back in 2015/16 when I was building my cob lights, and I've been using them ever since, haven't burned any out. Haven't needed a new light so I haven't done any research, sorry if my question is old news.

I've been looking into QB's for efficiency, but have one concern. In my current grow in a 2x4 tent I'm running my light at more watts than I normally would, just to build heat in there. If I were to switch to QB's, with their efficiency I'm wondering how much cooler they run? Is it more marginal or more dramatic? I'm sure many of you have made the switch by now, so I appreciate the information.

You won't save any power if you need to add a heater after changing to more efficiant lights.

The heat is determined by the wattage whether its a light or a heater. 1 watt = 3.41 BTU.

That's what I'm thinking. So, you're saying they run significantly cooler?

He's saying 200 watts of cobs is the same amount of heat as a 200 watt qb.

Exactly.

A more efficient light produces more light per watt, they all produce the same heat per watt.

Seems obvious now... thanks for clarifying.
