transplanting issue

k about 10 mins ago i transplanted 1.5 month old out door plant from a 1 gal to a 4.

when I had got it out of the 1 gal i set the 1 gal dirtclod down, to dig a hole in the other pot. wheni picked up the clod again i heard sum tearing cause the soil lossened up.... i think there is still a good amount of roots, but i dont know if i have just killed my plant........... so if anyone has experienced this pls help.....

shouldent hert them, i've washed all the dirt off the root ball befor,and cut half the roots off, just to see how the plant handled it.
it loved it , maid it grow better , so u'll b fine

I agree - unless you've torn off the entire rootball, she should be fine.
