Transplanting multiple times necessary?

Hello everyone! Just curious. Is it necessary to transplant your plants multiple times or can you go from clone straight into 3 gallon or 5 gallon?

it isnt neccasary, i plop my seeds and clones right into 3 gallon buckets.

It just takes much more time for the roots to fully explore the pot if he plant is not mature enough.I was experimenting with this thing a few days ago.They were a little rootbound because of the small pots so i had to feed in every watering.Use small pots to pop them.1 gal pots to veg and 3gal pots a week before you flip the switch is a good way imo .
