can anyone give me some advice on transplanting from plastic cups? im having some trouble.. would appreciate it if anyone could just share how they go about it.. thanks
hey bro, easy stuff here. the day after you water or when the soil is kinda wet. pack down the top layer of soil and grasp the stem between ur point and middle fingers, flip it upside down kinda fast and kinda squeeze the bottom of the cup so it lets loose from the bottom. or a second option is to cut bottom outta the cup and plant it that way but only if the cup is not to long.!!!!!!!!!!
cover the bottom of your pots with little pebbles bought from home depot for 4 bucks a bag... the plants soil and roots simply slide out when ready to transplant the roots do not grow in to the pebbles... be sure to loosen up the roots before covering with soil... and water promptly
its easiest to undo them slightly wet. also you can do 1 of 2 things. take a butter knife and go lightly around the inside edge of the cup. or squeeze slightly around the outside of the cup. this will compact the soil and allow the plug to easily slip out. then its just a matter of supporting your stem at the base and slipping the cup off.
