Transporting mother

How can I move and transport my mother plant without messing up it's photocycle? For instance if I move to a different house or to an apartment how can I transport my plant? Should it be when the lights are supposed to be on only?

ya it will be fine as long as its not in complete darkness for 24 hours or more..
