Has anyone ever grown in a dead tree im thinking of climbing up one and cutting it to make it flat on top and putting a bucket then tieing it down. But i was wondering is there anyway to rig up a water system so i dont have to climb the tree ever other day.

thanks

A dead tree? Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose? It seems to me that nothing would stand out more than a potted plant perched on the top of a dead tree. Why not a live one; use the foliage as cover?

Sure. Just hang the plants at the top of the tree, above most of the foliage - so that the pot is hidden in the leaves, but the plant grows out above it.

yes i have done this before ,, go to a hardware store & get a green 5 gal bucket ,, .. go in the woods & get a few leaves from the tree,& spray paint it leave camo .. put leaf on bucket & paint over so u have a leave form ,, it will work ,,, then climb ur ass way up in the tree & clear out some branches ,, make sure the spot u place ur bucket gets good light .... hook up a little pully way up in the tree & now u need to rig it to the bucket i cut a few drainage holes in bottem of the bucket & a good size hole in the middle , put a rope thru the big middle hole & tie it to a metal disk ,, like a washer , the size of a dinner plate ,.. now ur rope will be comming up thru the bucket ,, just fill the dirt in around it & hook it to ur pully ,,,, some ppl dont like this idea ,, cause they think somone will see the rope hanging down ... .. well if u are worried about somone seeing it ,, chances are u might be in a bad spot ,,
