Tri-meter and PPM issues

Hello all. I know that tri meters can be finicky around other electronics, and they also need to be calibrated every one in awhile to make sure there is nothing going on.

So my question is; Why does my ppm go all over the place?

I recalibrated using 1000ppm NaCl, 4.0 acidic, and 7.1 basic calibration fluids by TDS.
Everything was as it should be. I then turned off all the electronics besides my meter, still crazy fluctuations in the ppm and obviously incorrect reading. * When I mixed my nutes in the bathroom the ppm was 300. Now it is 1000+ and all around.*

I found also that when I raise my bubblponics lid, and let light into the water.. the reading goes back down to correct... around 180ppm (I added more water b/c of the initial reading)

So what the hell is causing this I wonder.. Its nuts. I put the lid on and the ppm goes up to 1200-1500, take it off and it goes down and STAYS at 180.... nuts

Nutra Dip. but it would concern me with any brand, although I hear good things about nutra dip. many esteemed growers use them.
