I have 5 plants growing right now in a closet with 3 42w CFL lights going(actual 42w I read the label ) they are in a 2/3 potting soil 1/3 compost(supposedly high quality from RIT local tech school 2nd to MIT),also has banana peels composted inside. And I have 1 miracle grow fertilier stick and 1/3 of one in the small pot. The closet I have them in is the closet attached to my reptile room which is well kept at 76 degrees F and 60% humidity. I don't have any meters or anything. This is just a test run on some quality og trainwreck/reggie I bought a while ago....this honestly started when I spilled some seed into one of my tarantulas cage on accident and looked in on it and noticed them growing. I did a ton of research and just used some stuff I had left over from going pothos plant for my other tarantula cages. I have some other seeds but I'm saving em for the time I get this right I do read before I ask questions as to not piss off the veterans this is my first post but I indeed have been all over this site and you guys have answered 99% of my questions. This was a $0 budgetted endeavor lol so I must say I did pretty good for myself..happy trails all and I'm excited...also the age of the orange potted trees is around a month and everyone else is 2 weeks old.

I was dealing with a serious fungus gnat issue bu after doing some research I put down some ground cinnamon and the population has literally dropped in half after 2 days...but I did notice one of my plants is getting some deformities on some previously on the newest developed 3 leaves...I been searching what the problem could be as said earlier I'm using soil and after testing my ph is 5.8 i 've also began using boil water for watering not filtered my closest light is 5in away, but I did cut back a light and bought a 100w cfl. I also I noticed the stalk and the branches have purple lines, I've read not to worry unless the color spreads to the stem but my green should be green? other then that growth is going pretty slow compared to some other stories/journals I've read.

Short journal entry I see branches started on my trainwreck plant growing short in comparison to the others I added 3 more CFLs yesterday. And my gf and I are both noticing a distinct smell I am excited its hard keeping it a secret from my friends but I don't play well with others especially when it comes to sharing ...Idk if I need to say anything but incase I do comments are welcome or I'm just an idiot and no one wants to speak up but I'm SO EXCITED! AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!

Now I do have a big question for someone out there...when do I start the flowering process? All the plants are beginning to grow leaves to fill themselves out

I didn't realize the gal would sprout 5 inches literally overnight..woke up an hour after the lights came on to a horrible sight..my precious was burning Q_Q but other then that everyone is growing wonderfully...side note I have noticed my trainwreck leaves are twice the size of the leave on the reggie plants. I am 1 week into flowering
