trichome help please, near harvest

I am seeing a few amber trichomes. How fast do they spread / multiply? I don't want too many ambers because it's a sativa and I'd rather not have couch lock. It's supposed to be a 14 week flower but it's only week nine. I don't know when to cut it

You mean like yellow leaves all over the place?

well my dad when he grew out sativa's always said one thing he noticed was when he let the fans go pale yellow or at least start this process then the plants were ready! Just my two cents, I aint no expert or know it all.
