Tricomes

So this is my first grow, I have a decent microscope borrowed to me, I am still having trouble seeing any tricomes? Do they form later in the flower stage? Or are they always there? I’m about 3 1/2 weeks into flower and can’t see anything? Also do I just use a small sugar leaf from around the bud?

#1. You have a lot longer to go before you have to worry about checking trichs.

#2. Pics help us a lot.

#3. When you do check trichs, look at the buds, NOT the sugar leaves.

#4. Welcome man!

You're a couple weeks from seeing them. Buds will start to look dusty. Around week 5 generally here. No need to check them until week 7. Watch some videos. Seeing is the best learning method.

Yes. But the plants weren't topped as they should to be true scrog. Would have added another week or two before flip.

Some will tolerate it without major setbacks. But not suggested by most. I stick with photos. I like interacting with my plants.001.jpg

This was a first grow, I will never use auto flowers again, worst part is I have one photo and three auto flower, the photo is Sativa and I had to super crop so it didn’t hit the ceiling! Guess this is just part of learning, now I have two auto flowers growing on 12/12 so the photo is in flower, never again, I like control and to do things my own way. I don’t like that I am guessing when they are starting to flower and so on,,
