other than getting more lights to help the growth to the buds are there other advantages to trimming them before flowering? Won't that stress the plants out? I am starting to think that its best to do any necessary damages you need to the plants before you flower. Pics would be nice and oh gosh yours is a 4 footer,,,nice.

thats pretty good bro. a ggo trim befor flower is good. cutting away small branches that wont produce smokable buds lets the plant put more energy into the colas and top buds.

a few fan leafs cut that are blocking a lot of light to desirable parts of the plant is ok. a healthy plant can be trimmed all the way up to harvest done correctly :)

I found this thread very helpfull. My last plants I trimmed way to much they looked like sticks when i was done lol. I was just a bit to eager although I harvested atleaste an oz and a half off each.

But this grow is much more properly maintained than the last. The way I go about trimming is trim when you need to. Whereever you are during the grow because its true as long as the plants are healthy they wont go into any shock. The plant will simply forget about that leaf/branch and focus on the more important parts.

The strain Im growing grows very wide an im struggling trying to fit 6 under a 250. I wont have my 400MH for two more weeks but with having to put them so close together trimming is a big part of it. Just dont trim to much an make sure you have healthy plants!

I'm trying something new this grow - waiting until 3 weeks into 12/12, then trimming bottom 1/3 for a lollipop effect.

Hey guys, are the fan leaves important during flower?...I have some short trees and the fan leaves are blocking the lower upshoots from the lights. I want to clone the lowerupshoots but they are small and can use the light to get bigger. How would you guys go about this?....Cut the lower fan leaves or cut all fan leaves or tie down the fan leaves or dont touch the fan leaves? I got 1 week left till i flower so if i trim them tomorrow they will be healthy when flowering time come. looking for inputs
