It certainly won't hurt to add all of your trim up and try! I use the Duncan Hines I think, the one that calls for 2/3 cup of oil...... Take all of your stash and toss it in a pot. 30 G will do a double batch, easy enough, so add about 1 and a 1/2 cup of oil to your stash. ( I stay away from healthy oils with hearts on the label, you want an oil that is the highest in fat. Lard would be best, but they only sell it in big tubs) Bring the oil to a slow simmering boil, constantly stirring and breaking up your stash. I use a plastic potato masher for this and break everything up real good. There will come a time that the oil will stop boiling, when it does, turn it down to a low heat and let it sit for about an hour, careful not to let it burn. When it cools, strain it through a couple of cheese cloths and then use that oil in a double batch of brownies. Yum! I even sprinkle walnut pieces on top before baking.

Bake at only 325 degrees, ignore boxes 350. Add about 10-15 minutes to time. Cooking at the lower temp seems to keep the buzz intact.
