Ok guys and gals, I'm sure this question has been posted and answered thoroughly numerous times but I can't seem to search for the specific question and I haven't found a simple answer on the web thus far so I'm turning to you guys for help. I understand that I need to decarboxylate my bud before making it into cannabutter. I have 1 oz of trimmings and I need to know how much butter to cook that into. I'm not trying to make a massive amount, I just want enough to make a couple of dishes with. Thanks in advance for any replies. I also would like to know how the amount differs between trim vs flowers. I though I would be able to easily google this but everyone seems to be making the answer extra complicated for some reason.

I get mid grade cannabis and use one ounce of buds to one cup of butter/oil. Depending on how frosty your trim in and how good it is you would decrease the amount of butter/oil. I make cookies - 28 of them at one gram per cookie.
Thanks for the straightforward reply. I will try this method of one ounce per cup of butter and adjust accordingly next time. Out of curiosity, what are you considering to be mid grade bud?

Well, the bud I get here usually is not the quality I come across sometimes that usually costs more money. I pay $300/ounce here- non legal, non medical, backwards state. Sometimes I get an opportunity to sample something from a legal state and it is better cannabis. My bud is fine for smoking- gets the job done nicely, but if I blast I don't get the return that I hear people talking about on forums. Therefore I have assumed it must mainly be mid grade bud. Also the last crop didn't turn out so well so is not top shelf stuff.
