Quick Details:

150w hps sunsystem 2-3 inches from top growth (Have 6 more inches of space!)
2 weeks into flowering
22-28 C temp. range
15-18 inch indica (some kind of kush?) from clone
coco, water by hand
Everything else seems fine except pretty dark green leaves but bud sites are a look nice and lighter green

The decision was made without looking it up to cut everything below 2 inches on the 5 ladies that wasn't of significant growth. This was in an effort to avoid the nute burn that was happening during feeding on some of the leaves from splash. This was mostly just old, small to medium fan leaves from the main stems but also included 4, 2-3 inch thin stems w/ very small bud sites on top of them. These were not only 1/3 the size of anything above it they seemed less developed so they were removed as well.

There is info out there that says never to cut after flower has begun, but theres also seen stuff that says removal of weak sites will focus energy towards the bigger ones.

Was this the right thing in regards to achieving maximum yield or should've they been left alone?

In the future should this just be avoided and trim them while there still in veg, even though they are still receiving decent light at that stage?

There is only 6 inches of vertical space left to add and therefore feel like they will are gonna run out of head room, should they be tied down down before or after there is no space left?

All help is welcome, thanks in advance :)
