Trimming and defoliation how much is to much?

Hi all I have a 4 1/2 week old autoflower plant in dwc and it looked like it was having some rust issues and I think I have corrected that now but last night I defoliated quite a bit to get those bad leaves off. So how far do you usually go up on a branch when defoliating? I am open to all constructive criticism. Do you think this is to much done on my plant or is it ok and last question if it is too much is there a good chance of hermie on this plant? Thanks for listening and can’t wait to hear your answers. I’ll sum up what I’ve seen here.


some people will strip it up to the top node, other people won’t take even one leaf off.

Both ways seem to work fine as long as the plant is healthy.
