what would make you think that removing a large solar panel to expose a couple smaller, less efficient solar panels is beneficial?

cutting fan leaves is like stapling your stomach. you will live but you wont be able to process as much food.

cutting fan leaves to expose lower budsites is just plain counterproductive.

Some people never learn, they think their way is better, than the way it has been done for the past 30+ years :wall:

i had one guy trying to hide his plant in his yard from his neighbor say to cut the tips off every leave so they dont look like MJ leaves. he said, 'it wont hurt the plant but you might want to ask a plant expert'. i replied, 'you can also cut off you fingers at the first knuckle and your legs at the knee to look like a midget...but you might want to check with a DR first to see if it will be okay."

some people.

so your removing leaves to expose a bud?

bad move.

the leaves catch the energy and the buds store them. the buds actually do very little of the photosysnthesising. your buds will do better if they are completely shaded by fan leaves.

leaves grow buds. buds dont grow buds.:dunce:

LST or more lighting is the proper way to get more light to the bud sites, not cutting off the plants energy production factories.

Oh well, I hope you like smoking popcorn

how r u gonna say that buds that get more lite r bad
what did you even make a thread for asking advise if your just gonna be pig-headed and do what the fuck you think is right anyways?

try taking a botany course or two. learn a little about the plant you are trying to grow.

leaves catch light to make flowers. flowers dont make more flowers.

when you 'pop' the stem the plant redirects certain hormones, or auxins, that were previously headed to the top you popped to the rest of the secondary tops. this causes the secondary tops to shoot for the sky thinking they are now the head bannana.

you dont even need to bend the stem for a sucesfull supercrop, just pop the stem and your done.
