Trimming in the vegetative state in small grow space

I looked in the already ask questions and on a few other forums so if this has already been asked, I apologize. So I am growing in my closet and I obviously don't want really tall plants. So I guess my question is do I need to cut the leaves in the vegetative state at all? Or just let it grow? I truly am completely new to this.

You might need to take some leaves off only if they look like they're dying. Other than that if you time things right and get an indica dominant strain and l.s.t. It

plants tend to stretch when you put them into flower. about 2 - 3 times the size as they were in veg. please keep that in mind since space is an issue.

chopping things off is not the way to go unless you are "topping." personally i bend and supercrop my plants to keep them small, which tends to make them more bushy. i'll bend and tie down that top cola 2 or 3 times to take a foot or so off the height. make sense?

Just leafs the leafs alone! No reason to cut ANY of them. Unless you know what you are doing or experimenting. Leaf's contain FOOD the plant NEED'S! Why would you want to limit the plants FOOD SUPPLY?

Take the advice and top/lst, this is easy for a beginner. Worry about that "trimming" stuff in future grows, I think its primarily subjective to ones personal preference on lower bud sites and light penetration ect.

OP: use LST and FIMMING to force the plant to the right shape and size for your grow area, remember it will grow 2x during flower!
