So I've got 6 plants that have been vegging in fox farm ocean forest soil for 2 months now, and I've always given them water and fox farm nutes ph'd to 6.5. For all visual purposes the look GREAT. nice, green. and leafy.
After watering them today I checked the runoff of the soil and it was a deep orange, around 5ish. So I flushed all the plants (10inch pots, 3gallons?) with about 8 gallons of water and the ph of the runoff coming out still does not look "light green" or 6.5, but more of a 5.9- 6.0 "yellow".
Am I missing something? It just seems like that should have brought the ph all the way up... What else should I do to fix my runoff ph or is this normal? Do i just need to start adding lime when watering and let it rise that way? I've got them all back in the lights and drying out now so Thxs for the help
