Trouble with VERY LOW humidity in grow box.

I have a small grow. I have 2 autoflower seedlings that are about 3 days. I started them in root riot cubes. I have them in red party cup with very good soil. They have there 1st set of true leaves already. I have the under 2 26w 6500k cfls for now. The temps get around 74 - 80. I have a small fan blowing in the box. The problem is that the humidity only gets to like 25%. The plants seem to grow and look better if I place them under a humidity dome. So what can I do to raise the humidity or is it ok to keep them under the dome till they get alittle bigger?

25% is a bit low in the vegetative stages, +40% is more like it with a optimal RH around 50-60% I often have problems in the winter time with a RH that go below 30% that give me some smaller issues both with my seedlings and my own skin :D

a quick "fix" to help em on there way, is a spray bottle to mist em with a few times a day, until they get bigger and have developed a good root net to take care of it

a pan/bucket with some hot water in the tent/room is also a option that can help get the % up a few

but if it is a common problem you have to struggle with, like all year, the best solution is a humidifier, I got my self a cheep one (80$) that easily get my RH up +10% in there (located just out side my intake)

Thank you for the reply. I do need to buy a humidifier. So do I need cool mist or warm mist?

cool mist, I think the name is ultrasonic or something alike

also remember, if you mist your plant`s with a spray bottle, do it under the leaves where its pores is located, and with as fine mist as possible, you can add stuff like wet betty or yucca to break the water tension so the plants can take up the water easy, and do it in the morning/day and not just before the light go off and stop once they begin to set flowers
