lol... I was only playing. I don't follow any specific rules when growing besides just keeping the plant healthy.

When you say dirt, are you just taking dirt from outside somewhere? Or using some cheap soil from the store? You can get a nice plant going with a cheap soil.
Don't feel like you have to buy the expensive plant food specifically for mj either. Low priced tomato food will help the plant if it needs help.

Most of us strive to set the plant up in the most optimum setting as we can. That includes cost / space / lighting / food etc.

I hope you have fun with your experimental grow... Learn from it what you can.

(read this in a nice way)
Ok, so 150 an ounce... Lasts you a week.... So, if you grow your plant for 3-4 months, and it only produces enough for you to smoke for, maybe one day, are you really going to save any money by growing? Is it worth the worry of having it around? (really this depends on how well your plant does, right)

If you're doing it for fun and practice for when you can grow more plants, or a better setup, or outside next summer then the grow has value for you. If the plant turns out to be a big producer, then there is value for you.

Just putting my thinking out there for you to consider. I'm not trying to deter you from trying to grow a better plant or anything. Just talkin.

Anyway. Hope things work out for you or someone else chimes in with some great info for you. :)

If you want to KISS it...I'd suggest a simple cheap organic soil (either make your own or buy one)..I've never bought one so I can't suggest one....But I recently made a mix of Pro-mix Hp, perlite, lime (may not have been needed), worm castings, and Epsoma Garden Tone.....You should be able to basically just water the plant for the most part...This is what I've done...Though I did do some top dressing that actually led to some toxicity....So obvious I overdid it a bit...

But I think this is pretty simple....That's the beauty in organics...If you do it right all you have to do is water...

here are a few pic of that current plant in that set up....these pics were taken around 3 weeks into 12-12....

You are going to need to feed the plant otherwise you get what you got which you might get a couple of grams out of. There are plenty of low cost ways to do it. For nitrogen 5mls of pee per litre could work. Molasses has plenty of p or k don't remember now which. Tomato nuts should work well and be cheap. Orchid fertiliser should also work well but maybe more expensive. Get
