Trying to raise humidity

Hello everyone!

Just starting out my 2nd grow and have some seedlings growing.

I am trying to raise my humidity in my grow closet as it varies from 25-30%. I picked up a humidifier from Wally World last night, but with it on full blast it doesn't get it any higher than 34%RH...

I'm looking for upwards of 60-70%RH.

My room is about 81 cu ft. My exhaust is 170cfm so it's clearing out the room 2x a min...

My exhaust runs 24/7 due to the fact the scrubber is on the end, then sucks through the cool tube on my 600w HPS...

So there is really no option to have exhaust on a timer...

What can I do to achieve this? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

bro u dont want your humidity at 60-70% that will create mold on your plants... ideal humidity for any grow room is 40-50%... try putting a cereal bowl of water in the room it will create just enough moisture to keep your plants leaves from drying out. just check it constantly and refill the cereal bowl as needed

Actually I have been doing a LOT of reading here and on THCFarmer, and for optimal growth in veg is 60-70% humidity. Flower around 50%.

I have an oscillating fan running only when lights are ON. And I need to keep exhaust running full speed to keep my temps in check. i.e. Below 85*F...

Get a water feature.

Or make one. Running water is best. Could get like some PVC pipe, drill a bunch of tiny holes along the height, then have those spray onto the top of large, flat, vertical hanging plastic(like Plexiglas). Then secure that into a reservoir, and have a pump/hose connected to the PVC pipe.

How ABOUT a really cheap method ..
take some pebbles put them in a clay dish of water and watch the humidity go up ..Want more> then add a tissue and let it hang over the dishes edge
the tissue will suck water up and it evaporates ...
If u blow a fan directly on it it really works I think it has to do with capillary motion / wicking ... ..get good quality kitchen tissue paper .

The bowl should best be clay (garden variety ) worked wonders for me ..

and I have to aggree with the poster . 60 - 70% is what I been told to aim for in Veg phase
