Hey all, I haven't posted in a while but I currently have one lady growing outdoors in a bucket. I have it in about 90-95% turface and the rest peet moss. She seems to be doing wonderfully.
The reason I used turface is because i'm a bonsaist and turface is a great medium for bonsai trees. It promotes strong root growth, holds a ton of water while still being very porous, its reusable, cheap, and probably more. I searched the web and RIU too see if anyone else has done this and there was a few things. mostly relating it with the hempy bucket.
So since i haven't been around, i hadn't heard of this "hempy bucket" but it looks to me like its just a way of passive hydroponics, like a wick system. I have mine in a bucket with holes drilled on the bottom.
So I guess i'm just curious if this has become a popular medium.
