well my 4 inch duct fan isnt doing a good job cooling my 250w hps
so, i got an old vacuum cleaner that i dont use, it would do a great job sucking the hot air but its way too loud
so i thoght of lowering the speed so it wont make so much noise
i opened it up (i have very little knowlage of electricity) and hooked it up with an 30v adapter
my guess was that if i would lower the volt it would lower the speed
it worked, but 30v is way to slow
the vacuum cleaner works on 220vac
and i guess i need somewhere around 100v adapter so it would work good and half as noisy
i cant seem to find an old adapter in my house or a cheap one to buy so i thought ill ask here if someone ever tried doing something of that sort and how he did it
