Two plants / one container

I was just wondering what determines whether you can have, at least, two plants in one container?
How many gallons would be sufficient? What would be a good L x W x H? Stuff like that???
My specs:
Veg in 2' x 2' with 100W/4000K cobs (Timber daisy).
Flower in 4' x 4' with 600W/3000K cobs (Timber 4VS & duo of daisies).
I'm trying to go full organic with just top dressing and teas this go around...

Having 2 root systems in one container competing is a bad idea. I would use 5 gallon fabric pots for each plant.but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, that's what I have been doing for the past few years, but I was thinking of trying something like a 20 gallon plastic storage tote and putting two plants in each tote: two totes = four plants.
I understand the root system situation, but how do people deal with that when they run raised beds indoors and plant multiple plants in their raised beds?
I do have 10 gallon fabric pots, but I was really wanting to simplify things with this run I just started... one each: Katsu's Xanadu and Katsu Pupil and Mass Medical's Putang and Putang Nevil Chem.

Alright... I'm sold... Storage totes are for storage! Lol!
With that, are the 10 gallon fabric pots THAT much better than the 5 gallon? Is it really worth doubling the size?
I've always used 3 gallon and 5 gallon fabric pots, but I got those 10 gallon pots at a price I couldn't turn down... maybe fold the top down a couple inches??? They are 11.75" tall...

I’ve tried 3 gallon and 5 gallon I’m sticking with 3. I’m also not impressed with fabric I went back to plastic

I use to grow clones lst and I'd put two of them in a 5 gallon pot, cut down on veg time. Never had a problem.
