I tied down the side branches to the plants sine I changed the lights to 12/12. If nobody has done this let me tell you your missing out big time. I have been training my plants to allow equal lighting to as much to the whole light as possible. My plant has almost tripled since I have done this with a lot of major budding points. here's some pics.. BTW I vegged my plants with a 400w HPS.

if your lower branches don't get much light then yes it is very good, its a form of training. it should allow those branches to start growing stronger & thicker

Yeah I LSTed my girls and it worked really well actually....made for strong branches and it allowed for a wider, more open, full canopy

Yup it is good.
It is much the same as the “SCROG” that is becoming more and more popular. It might even be the predecessor to SCROG.
Good luck mate.

Humm quite interesting... I will take more pics as I go along to see how the final results turns out.. From what I have seen I have turned my 10 female to a 24 point bud female. If everything goes well it's looking like I will 2x or even 3x my yield by doing all of this...

is this method still possible if it's never been done to the plant before...but wanted to start once the plant goes into flowering?

lol can't say I say i am an expert in the field but I did do this once my plants switched to 12/12. To be honest with anybody who decides to read this, Do what I am doing you won't regret it as it will only yield you more bud. No more sucker buds for me as they are all starting to be developing extremely well.. :blsmoke:

I tied two of my blueberrys down about 2 weeks ago. Just started flowering the other day. I do notice that there is more growth then the other blueberries Im growing. Overall Im glad I did it, even though Ive read I did it a lil late.
