I was raised to consider Britain the fairest country on earth.
During WW2 when a soldier fighting for the Axis Powers wished to surrender
they tried to find Brits to surrender to.
Napoleon Bonaparte forgot the convention of surrendering to a person of similar rank
and surrendered to the first Brit he could find - An obscure ships captain.
After 1945 many of the soldiers who had been POW's in Britain
kept in touch with their captors and even came back to visit.
And, during 1939 - 45, if someone wanted to listen to the news
and be fairly sure it was quite accurate, they tuned into the BBC.
Even though it was illegal to listen to the BBC in most of Europe
people still did it because it had a reputation for reliability and honesty.
This NEWS RELIABILITY and HONESTY seems to have gone to shit!
The recent coverage of Ukraine has been absolute propaganda.
The Ukrainians are portrayed as proud, noble freedom fighters
attempting to throw off the dominance of an aggressive Russia.
It's never mentioned that a large portion of the Ukrainian uprising is manned by fascists.
The people of Crimea are shown as being under siege by Russia.
In fact a recent referendum had the highest turnout of any Ukrainian Election
and over 90% voted to ally Crimea to Russia.
When will the mainstream British media report the facts
and not just what supports their masters?
