Understanding Genetics

Wondering if this is possible - say I grow a male and female together - same strain, possibly good genetics. I get seeds.

Will the quality of these seeds - the genetics be primarily a result of how well the female (and male?) were grown? (at least somewhat?)

If so, does it make sense that it would be possible to grow generations of male/female plants from seed, hopefully increasing the quality of the seed each time?

Is that making any sense?

Any good articles are appreciated too!

it doesn't have to do with how well they are grown. It has to do with their phenotype expression of the chromosome combination... genetic math of how often which allele (dominant vs recessive) is present in the offspring.

random mating from a male with female also depends on the stability of the genetics, as an F1 cross will produce a lot of variations in its offspring..

Their is a good book called "cannibis breeding" by Greg Green on this subject, worth the read if you want a seed crop thats worth anything.
