After 2 weeks of this issue I need help!! It started off at the bottom of the plant with the fan leaves slowly yellowing starting at the tips moving down throughought the leaf, then the tips turn brown and get crispy, and then they kind of drop off of the plant ( if I blow on the leaf, it would easily fall off). This yellowing & dropping of the fan leaves made it's way all the way up to the top of a ,late in the game, flowering plant, taking every fan leaf with it. It is now starting on the small "trimming" leaves on the branches. THe only other thing, is that there is a smell in the room thats hard to explain but I would say moldy/damp smell, just like the smell of a wet towel all roled up for like 7 days (that genre of smell). I checked them for root-bound and didnt see any roots coming out the bottom of the plant at all. My only other thought, is that its either root rot, or some other fungal issue, or maybe because Ive been watering with molasses for like a month on and off, but I have zero experience with these issues, and the girls looks like theyre on a path to destruction. Expreienced & knowledgable growers, I need your help. Thank you and god bless

sounds like root rot. the smell is described as rotten potatoes. H2O2 can kill it as can Hygrozyme. it may be too far along to have any effect though.

i would fill a bucket with r/o water and add h2o2 at the rate of 30ml per gallon. then remove the plant from its pot and dip the root system in the bucket, allow the root system to soak in the solution for a few minutes. at that point pull the plant out of the bucket and let as much of the water as possible to drain out of the root system, you can squeeze it softly to aid the process. then replant it in a new pot with some new clean soil around the root system.. after packing the dirt around the root system i would water the plant using r/o water with superthrive, hygrozyme, root 66, and vermitea (compost tea with beneficial bacteria).
your problem was likely caused by over watering. maybe your pot is too big for your plant.
however, the problem could also be from too much nutes. what is she getting, how much?
finally, how much longer do you think she would have to flower? if it's less than two weeks, you may just want to cut down and start over. cleaning the roots will shock the plant for a few days, but she'll bounce back.

yooo thatnx for the help. Well in refernece to H2O2 watering will it affect the taste and if I do it do I need to break all the existing soil away from the rootball before soaking, or put it in as is? As far as the cause of the problem, I agree it probably was overwatering. I never really gave them that many nutes, but about 2 weeks ago I had a fungus gnat infestation and finally got rid of it by putting sand ontop the soil. Now theyre back again, not as bad, but I know they prefer wet damp conditions so..... Id say overwatering also this problem didnt happen to all the girls , thats what dosent make sense?? Ive been using shulz 10-15-10 and stopped about 2 weeks into flowering. As per your last question, around the 7th-8th week into it. I have no idea when to expect them to flower ,majority of hairs are still white and growth has been extremely slow (caused by previous issue I suspect) so I have no idea when to expect anything. I am totally lost,maybe you could shed some light on all this??? DOnt wana lose my babies!!!!

all signs point to way too much water.. fungus root gnats only show up if the soil is too wet. i have never seen them since my first grow. sand on top of the wet soil would probably keep the deeper soil from drying out even more, thus promoting your root rot situation. i try to wait until my plants tell me they are thirsty by a slight droop in their leaves. at this point the soil in the buckets is dry as far down as my finger goes, and dusty on top. it seems like my plants grow faster if i let them tell me they are thirsty rather then just following a set schedule.
no you don't need to knock any soil off of your root ball, but gently move it up and down while it's soaking. this will allow the h2o2 to work it's way into the root mass and eat away any dead or dying root matter or diseased parts.
if the majority of the pistils are still white you definitely have a few weeks to go. once it has settled down from the repot continue to add your bloom nutes untill you see a good amount of the pistils change to red. when 2/3 of them are red i start my flush, and continue with plain water until i think they are done. if a plant has problems while flowering it will always take longer to finish.
