UPS Shipping Box Used As A Grow Box :D

Hey guys,

I am currently working on my UPS Shipping Box Grow Box and I would love your guys opinions on what I should do to it to improve it.

Right now its being built out I need to make vent holes for the fans & then attach a carbon filter to one of them (thinking about how should I make my carbon filter for it should I do it the easy way or the hard way). Also I need to fix any light leaks from the corners of the box & the front openings. I am thinking about using magnets to keep the doors closed so I don't have to tape them or anything. Also the cord for the power bar I already have that taken care of I am going to hide it on the back of the box just need to tape it and force it there.

The dimensions of the box are
-Height: 23"
-Width: 8"
-Diameter: 14.5"

I just want to put one plant in there which I think it should yield a good 30 grams minimum. I also plan on doing some LST on the plant to make it widen up.

The light bulbs I am going to use for veg
-2x26watt 6500k + 1x26watt 2700k
and for flowering
-2x26watt 2700k + 1x26watt 6500k + 2x13watt 2700k (side lighting going to design that soon into the box)

I'm probably going to veg them till they get 4-6 inches in height most likely a week and then start to put them into flowering

ha i used a u haul wardrobe box for a while

Yeah I got mylar that I am going to put once I am done the fan exhaust and then basically its almost complete thats proper after a few grows I am probably going to upgrade to something more better

get a 4x4 if you get smaller you will wish you had gone bigger

yeah thats a good idea for my next grow box but for now I am currently just experimenting with growing marijuana and just making some stealth boxes and once I'm ready to ill be making my own wooden grow box with a pad lock

that works well a window ac hooked up to it would cool it just fine

WITHOUT MYLAR:


After Mylar:

i used mylar balloons because I couldn't find any mylar rolls anywhere.

now I am just waiting for the fan controller, I need to buy a timer so I can set it to turn off & on automatically, and an extension cord so I can keep the box in my close for little detection. The side vents im going to be adding a dust filter on the intake and a carbon filter on the outtake.

The pot im using is 5" I think or 6" and that plastic container ill be filling it up to 1cm of water so the rooms can suck up some of that water (which allows it to grow faster) & so I don't have to water it so often

does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Pretty impressive I have to say!
However, I would have put the exhaust fan near the top, to drain away any excessive heat which may build up.

What type of carbon filtering do you plan on using?
