Hi everyone!

I cloned 4 of my plants last night, so now i have multiple clones in water under 24h no light, waiting to go to soil medium in my humidity dome.

But.

I have some plants in my closet under 12/12 flowering light cylce.
Can clones survive under that light cycle?

If not, i will need to make a separate room, and thats really difficult right now.

What do you think?

clones need 24 hour light, preferably flouros...

I place my rooting plugs into a 12" x 8" tray with a 8" hard clear plastic top. I just set up a heating pad and a single cfl lamp with reflector in a closet. Nothing fancy...

Using the above stated method is all you need especially while you are learning. All I am using at the moment on anything under about 8 clones a tupperlid upside down on my dsl modem with a tupperware bottom as a top. Works great till the wife wants to use it, just kidding. Good luck with your grow and your cloning.

yes but that 12/12 cycle is encouraging them to go straight into flowering.

Unrooted clones need 24 hours of light, Florescent if you can. Once they have rooted, you can put them straight in to 12/12, but they will flower.

*Buds is assuming they are already rooted.

If you can't make another room don't worry.. Lots of people do it in cabinets..

You can do it in a box. in a cabinet, under the bathroom sink, in a dresser, in a file cabinet, literally anywhere..
All you need is a couple CFLs and a humidity dome. A heating pad will make it better, but it's not required.
Put it all in a cardboard box, or anything that will stop the light from escaping, unless it's in a different room, then you can have it in the open.. But some kind of box/dresser/cabinet or even an old computer case will do..

They will survive. They will go into bloom and be killer 1" buds :) I guess the size depends on the genetics. The only reason I can see doing this is to sex them or for seed production. I hope this helps.
