Using a BlackLight for flowering?

Hey guys and gals,

I am now moving in to my flowering stage and i found an old Blacklight.
can i use that to help my plants flower?

Black lights in the traditional sense (non UVb), use a wavelength that plants simply do not readily absorb . It also lacks the intensity in terms of lumens that would be needed for a flowering plant. Outside aesthetic value, I cannot see how that light would help much. If you do end up using it, I would strongly recommend that you only use it as a supplemental light and not the primary light source.

Sure why not, throw it in there. Like others have said it will throw out minimal usable lumens. Probably just a waste of electricity.
