I'm a newbie here at this forum and also new to indoor growing. Here's my question.... I am thinking of using a wick system since I'm not always able to be around to water on a regular basis. I have access to some metal fabricated pans normally used as drip catchers for HVAC equipment. They are the perfect size for my room and are plumbed with drains already. My concern is harmful leaching that may effect the plants. I have read that some people using commercial water chillers with copper coils have harmed the plants with the copper leaching from the coils. I was just wondering about any problems with the galvanized pans being used as my resevoir ? Thanks, Rockhopper
