hey guys ive recently started growing a mother room and have a 400 hps bulb in there, but i think i might have a issue with the hood. I think its to small and doesnt distribute light properlly to the whole room so im thinking of making a bigger hood with mylar anybudy got any ideas or imaginary ideas ill take anything lol ive got some side panels from a stove thinking of maybe using those or should i use
1/8 of a inch sheating or cardboard maybe i dunno its kind of flusturing lol

anyways any input would be greatly appretiated( and keep the good times rollin):bigjoint:

IDK, but it seems to me the light should have come with a hood compatible with the bulb's output, meaning if you open it up, you may get a bigger footprint, but it will be less effective.
How large of an area are you trying to cover?

making a hood is simple and cheep ,dont go to a home improvment center though for the matrial (to expensive ) go to your local HVAC supply house it will be 1/2 the cost , Now you neet to know how wide you want your hood and the lenth , let say you wANT 20'' WIDE AND 4FT LONG , just ask the counter guy for 4 ft lenth of 10 round pipe for HVAC , it will come not locked together so you would just stretch it out to 20 inches wide, if you want it 24 inches wide ask for 12'' round pipe.. is comes in any dia and any lenth 2,3 4, 5, ft and soo on, attach light with bracket and hang with what ever you desire. under 12 dollors you done
