Hi guys
Was just wondering who uses a biofungicide like serenade for mold prevention? I've done everything by the BOOK up until this point and after the tropical hurricane/storm came through i pruned some water-logged lower branches and trimmed/dried the buds to smoke so as to promote air circulation and deter any mold growth. My plants recieve about a gallon- gallon and 1/2 of aerated compost tea once every 2 weeks now in flower (brewed with worm castings, aged bat guano & chicken manure for vitamins and N, fish emulsion for minerals and N, mycorrizhae beneficial bacteria, bone meal for phosphorus & mollasses)...because in addition to promoting growth, i've read that a healthy consistent plant-feeding will strengthen a plant's immune system helping it to ward off infectious mold/mildew as well.
In New England, sometimes the weather becomes rainy in mid-late september- that critical time of year when our buds begin to swell with that sweet sticky aroma. I have a good idea of how to properly dry/cure as to avoid mold, but want to be sure to avoid mold while the crop is still going as well
So anyways "Serenade" is an organic fungicide that sounds like it's effective in combating or preventing the most common molds such as grey mold (botrytis)...again the reviews i've read just state "don't use right before harvest" just because of the poor smell/taste
What you guys think, just go ahead and buy it/mist it on my plants before/after rain late in the season?
