Vacuum Purge (etc) Equipment UK???

My 9 x 30" Plants will be fully mature in the next month (Today is Bud Day 44).
When ready I want to take the best buds for drying and curing.

WHICH OTHER PARTS ARE GOOD FOR MAKING OIL?

If HASH can be salvaged by simply using ice, cold water and filters (or Bubble Bags,
why do people bother using Iso, Butane, Everclear....

Which products produce which concentrates???

VACUUM PURGE CHAMBERS....?
Do these have another name?
For what other purpose are they sold?
I don't know how available they are within the UK.

(I have read several threads but much of the information contains slang and technical terms that renders much of it incomprehensible).

why do people bother using Iso, Butane, Everclear....
Well its actually quite a bit easier to dissolve the trichs into a solvent...for qwiso you simply fill a mason jar with bud then pour in iso, wait 10 seconds pour it out and through a couple coffee filters....also because your filtering it, its much cleaner than sieved hash. Its also of a higher purity..this is why people often have difficulty getting full melt sieved hash. There's really no comparison when talking about purity..and gives that level of purity at a higher yield

A vacuum isn't a must but is nice. You can make wax and shatter without it but it essentially lowers the boiling point of your product by lowering the pressure pushing down on it, without this weight the molecules are freer to move around..allowing you to use lower temps and thereby less degradation..

You can make oil off the entire plant. Obviously bud is best then trim and if you want, stems.. you really shouldn't run fan leaves, even though they have a similar potency of stems they will leach a lot more crap. You can get decent hash off stems, I save all mine in a mason jar and run later(well what I don't compost for soil aeration I judge by size).....anyway...

I think the secret to growing good hash is in the plant strain, without the heavy trics and a mixture of old and young buds, like making jam and saying you only want the best fruit, top jams or top hash don't come that way, most of the commercial Moroccan hash is a derivative of the middle east, with quality of tertiary importance, with volume of the primary concern, todays grower indeed takes the best bud to harvest with much secondary product going to the hash, its an easy way to clean up all that extra stuff and get better prices than for second rate buds.

I have and do prefer the bubble bags, indeed I do waste a bit say 20%, but is a lot safer than using gas, tho gas is quicker and warmer ....lol fucking around with a wash machine full of bud and ice is a choir and a half, but after seeing an accident and almost a few more, ice and bubble bags is easier than blowing your arms off....lol

Nothing kills a growers reputation in his local canna 'scene' quicker than when a grower makes hash of all his bud, it don't say the right thing about a grower to his patients ...lol

I was planning on saving any and all trim.
The fan leaves were going for compost
so were the stems....but now you've got me thinking.

Implied in certain threads - Wax, shatter and butter (or 'budder') are different phases of the same process?

For a long time HASH was far more common than grass in UK.
OIL, however, is (and has always been) a rarity.
In 25 years I've had oil twice.

It's strength and rarity command high prices.

I did edit sorta..but to clarify, small stems that I pick out my bud gets ran as hash. Everything gets composted into my soil though. The reasoning is really just that only the outside of the stems have trichs and the bigger the stem and farther away from bud are less potent with a worse ratio surface area

Taffy shatter budder wax crumble and comb are the main types and there are many variables.. lower weight terpene content and other wet yummies are good and give the product a greasy appearance, wax's and fats give a shiny bendable look (like haggards pic in perhaps guzs bho thread) impurities in general will make it more taffy or goo like (it doesnt fit together neatly) and reduce its "heat of fusion" surface tension and polarity so that it sticks to your fingers. Pure product can be handled OK and has a high melting point meaning solid at room temp.

Now creating each type...intentionally can be tricky.. but its really not that hard to do. Perhaps check some threads about that...like guz's off the top of my head

I agree, for total quality Oil is the way to go, I see it as the cream of the crop, just mix in all the rubbish from the plant and you got hash, which is convenient for the grower as it rids him of the trash bill at months end ...lol

but I would always recommend that if a guy can't grow, then become a hash maker, really just a sales agent for the grower, but to do both is rare with exception to cfl growers staying at home with mom, better to grow you own buds and be proud of it ...? than squeeze every grain out of you cfl grow then turn to hash ...is dumb IMO
