Vaporizing sulfur in late bloom (6th week) to figtt PM

Hey guys,

I am very frustrated with PM, I had it my last grow, and it struck back in my second grow. I really don't want to want to end up cutting off buds due to PM.

I have tons of airflow, and I don't have space in my setup to add a heater or dehumidifier.

At the moment I am exactly at the six week mark (day 42). I plan on taking my plants to day 70.

Is it too late to vaporize sulfur.

I read of people saying don't do it after 4 weeks. Then I also hear others say they run it up to the last week with no problems.

I am really confused and frustrated with this matter. Any input would be appreciated.

I did read that, bud some how I missed this part:

* Alkaline water:
Alkaline water can affect powdery mildew, as mildew cannot grow in basic conditions. Mist plants generously with water at 8.0+ pH frequently; discontinue when buds begin to mature to prevent budrot.

[Editor's note: this does work and is effective in late flower. Alkaline water does not seem to affect buds or bud hairs. The effect is temporary, but drastically slows mildew grow and spread. Reapply every 4-5 days.]

Couple of questions.

How alkaline should I make the water, 9?.

Would GH pH up be fine to make the water alkaline.

I am thinking RO would be best, right?

Yeah that would be ok. I use potasium bicarbonate in the veg room but its not good in flower, in flower i use a product called sillinal from ecostyle a friend sent it to me from europe, u cant get it in the uk.

Hi Bender, I frogot to answer your Q on the 600 regarding PM, soz.

I get something from a manufacturer called BISON (I am sure it's in the UK as well, or something similar) They remove damp and moisture particles from the air. http://www.bison.nl/NL/nl/index.do It's called a Vochtvreter!! Similar to a dehumidifier I guess, but does the job for me.

I also use the silinal that Westy mentioned. It's the nuts IMO. Got me through PM with the OGK's and it hasn't risen it's ugly heid since then....

You can buy online from here:

It's in Dutch but if you want any help with translation let me know. Or there is the Free Translation site....

Good luck

Thank you so much, you guys fuckin rock.

Update: I sprayed some pH 9.5 water, it helped a bit but not enough. the disturbance to the hair was there but it was minimal.

Soon I will be ordering what the good folks have mentioned.

I will for sure vaporize sulfur next round to prevent this PM. I also might sacrifice some space to add a dehumidifier, but th good thing about that is I might be able to run CO2 in that case.
